My first I had already been having contractions for 24 hours and was only 5 cm.so at 5 pm I was 5. By 8 pm they had broken my water and I was still only 7 my daughter was Sunnyside up so I was having a really hard time dialating, I got on All fours and she flipped and I want from 7 to 10 in seconds. And I know for a fact from what my family heard nurses saying, that if I didn't have my midwife the hospital would have given me a c section which obviously would have been unnecessary. I had my son at home with a water birth. I was contracting all day and by 7pm they started to really kick in, I called my midwife at 2 am, she came, checked me I was 8 and my son was born at 5:35. He also started out Sunnyside up but that time I started trying to get home to flip right away lol.
With my 1st it was almost 11 years ago now well i started to have contractions at 6am on newyears eve they were not that bad well after the ball dropped that is when they kicked up went to hospital they gave me a shot to stop the contractions and sent me home said i was to early he wasnt due for 9 more days so i went home and was back at the hospital at 12pm and was 3cm the broke my water active labor started soon as she pulled that damn stick out from brakeing my water i was 10cm he was born at 2:08pm no pain meds at all i was 18years old, With my daughter i was induced on jan 7th started pitocin and had 1st contraction at 11:37am she was born 2:11pm no pain meds at all. with my last he was a spontaneous delivery i woke up at 4:45am to use the restroom got back to my bed sat up for a min had a contraction looked at the clock it was 5am on the dot so i thought oh this is them Darn BH again 3 mins later another one hit so i started to time them and i had them every 3 mins till 5:45am i woke up my husband he told me to lay down i still had time like really i wanted to kill him lol but i made him get up i got a shower and he got in after me i am walking around trying to breath throw that pain well i am telling him he needs to hurry up we dont have much time he didnt believe me at all i sat down to use the rest room and i was bleeding and had to push at that point i went down stairs and does anyone know how hard it is to fight the urge to push its not easy at all i woke my son told him i was leaving to help his uncle with his sister and i woke my brother told him it was time the look on his face was priceless lol well i called the doctor he calls back says go over so still waiting for my husband who is worse then a women is taking forever we leave the house and the hospital is 30mins away it felt like he was driving so slow my contractions were 1 min apart at this point we pull up to the hospital and he said let me get a wheel chair i told him there was NO TIME i stood up out of the truck and my water broke thankk god i got out of the car intime lol well they take me upstairs and i cant sit in the chair right cause his head was between my legs they had to hold him in cause he had a movment my husband didnt make it upstairs the doctor never made it lol one push he was out he was born at 7:36am
I was induced because of my blood pressure being dangerously high and after 20 hours of HARD labor (the meds were causing my body to have what they called triple contractions) I was only dialated to a 7 so I had a c section babe was born 7 lbs 14 oz 20 inches long =)
Would everyone say the pushing part is quick and easy? Thats the bit am conserned about lol
I was induced and dialated to 4 after 19 hours and had a csection.
My water broke at midnight, I got to the hospital around 1am lol my boyfriend just had to take a shower! I was in labor for almost 24 hours, I started pushing at 9 pm than had to stop because the doctor was paged for an emergency c section, around 11:30 I began to push again, and my doctor was born at 11:40 pm, 6 lbs 12 oz!
Woke up in the middle of the night with diarrhea, then contractions started an hour later. Was able to take a shower and stayed on the couch until 12:30pm when I went to the hospital. Got admitted I was 4cm dilated. Did not have any pain meds by choice. Labor felt very long by that point, I was very tired and remember getting annoyed with everything. I was so hungry but they would only give me water! I also yelled at my mom and sister, which then made me cry, and I smashed my forehead on the bed rail and had a lump. Pushing was the easiest part of the whole thing, 6 pushes in about 20 minutes and my daughter was born! After that nothing mattered, I know I ended up with 2 stitches but don't recall feeling anything since I was so focused on my baby. Total labor was about 15 hours.
Two very different experiences lol I think I think the quick unexpected birth to the long 12 hour one lol
I had my second daughter at home (unplanned)! Was laying my living room carpet and started getting contractions at 11pm rang the hospital at 1am coz they were every 4-5 mins and was told it was impossible to be in labour after only 2hrs of contractions at 1.20 after 3 pushes she was born on my bedroom floor. 2 days before my due date and the day I had moved into my house so everything was in boxes and was home alone with my 2yr old daughter! Was a very quick unexpected birth.
I was induced on my sons due date because I'm my size being small only I was not able to dilate passed a 5 so after 12 hours of being in labor I had to have a c section
