update...im pissed!!!

well as most of you know from my last post i had an us monday at 8w1d that showed an empty sac still. In which i was being sent to a specialist and i went there yesterday at 130pm. Well they did both regular and transvagional us so i has to drink 32oz of water before hand. Well the damn us tech would not tell or show me anything but your doctor has to give you the results. He then said they will know in 15 min so i went upstairs to wait because i want to know. I waited an hour only to be told the doctor does not have time to look over the us now and we need to check your levels again. So i was sent to the lab and told to come back tomorrow, being today, at 3pm. Well at 9am this morning i get a call from rosa, front desk lady, saying they need to cancel my appointment because she marked the wrong test on my lab form!!! She put hcg qual and the doctor order hcg quant. So now i have to go back to the doctor get a new form and go to the lab once again and my appointment is now tomorrow at 930am. They wont say anything about my us untill i go in tomorrow. Oh and she told me to call her tomorrow at 845am to make sure they have my results in. I really think im going to go crazy!!!

Yeah im pissed about the whole results thing but for now im done yelling at them. I will be saying something to the doctor about it tomorrow. As far as the lab paper its not the doctors fault it got messed up. Its the stupid chic rosa at the front desk who filled it out. Im trying not to stress because it wont help matters any.

I have been there before. The first blood test I was supposed to get to confirm my levels, I waited a week for those results and the lab lost my results and I had to return and redo the blood work and wait another week, finally got my results but the lab didnt test for everything they were supposed too. By the time I finally got all the appropriate results, i was way behind in seeing my reffered OB. It can be such a pain in the *** I know, but try to stay relaxed!

I agree with the above. They can't keep results from you!

I would definitely be expressing my feelings at the appointment, and I would not be kind about it. That's a bunch of BS, but they probably won't tell you on the phone a lot of places won't. I don't get why you have to have a whole new appointment because of a lab request mess up. I had the same problem when I was going for an u/s...they put in for something other than OB so I had to call the dr to have them reorder it, and then call radiology back again to schedule an appointment...why is it so complicated to switch something? Aren't drs supposed to be smart, LOL?

yeah i did on the phone with her this morning. I told her i wont have a car tomorrow so can i come to get those results still. She said some bs on how the doctor has to compare my numbers to the us results. So now i have to drive df to work tomorrow and pick up him.

I would call in and demanded my ultrasound results. They can't keep information from you.
