Flight went well! Got here sunday keeping you guys updated. The airline didn't even ask any questions and everything went well. Hopefully sunday when we return it will go as smooth.
If your Dr won't clear you to fly then the airline won't let you on the plane. Just have a note from the Dr stating how far along you are won't be good enough. It needs to state that you aren't at risk of going into labor any time soon. If your Dr is refusing to clear you to fly there is probably a good reason.
I'm sorry for your loss, and I understand you need to attend the funeral, and that your family need you, but sometimes it just isn't safe to travel this far along.
What if your waters do break and the plane has to do an emergency landing?
I would ask your Doctor, mine said no flying in the 3rd trimester. And when I went on vacation, we were returning home, I had just turned 27 weeks, I got questioned and they almost didn't let me fly home...
Not long. One is less than two hours and we have a layover nenext one is just over two hours.
I'm sure it will all work out fine, I feel like often it's a small chance they're trying to prevent. How long is the flight?
She said that air pressure changes could cause my water to break. Thats what I'm most nervous about.. though I'm sure that's only a worst case scenario. Still nerve wracking. I just.. know my family needs me now.
Sorry for your loss and hoping/praying you have a smooth trip , both ways.
I can see why he wouldn't want to clear you, but you have a very good reason. It's not like you're going on vacation. Hope you have safe travels.
Thanks ladies. Called American Airlines.. dr wasn't comfortable to clear me.. but gave me a note saying how far along I am. I guess that's all I need according to the airline. I hope everything goes smooth..
Yea make sure u ask the airline I bought tickets and they refused to let me on the plane after 32 weeks. Mci is really picky about that I'm originally from mo as well Bur live in north Carolina now
I would get a doctors note saying you are clear to fly before you leave because some airlines won't let you fly past a certain amount of weeks usually around 35w
Make sure your airline will allow you to fly that far into pregnancy, they can refuse you. I was told no flying after 32 weeks by my doctor. I understand yours is special circumstances, so I'd just check with your airline. I'm sorry for your loss.
