I don't want people telling me that I'm a bad mom for not breastfeeding. The medication I need for my crohns disease isn't safe for baby, so I'm using formula.

My question for you mommas is how did you pick a formula for your baby? Did you use nursery water? What kind of bottles? Etc.

Gerber and I used bottled water not nursery water. And I also use Playtex vented bottles they worked really well

I supplemented with formula. Here in AZ we have Safeway stores * I used their brand. It had all the same vitamins as the name brand yet was a fraction of the cost.

The doctor chose the formula, similac. We just used tap water. We use Dr Brown bottles. Don't worry about what others think. I cannot breast feed either. I have tried with my first three and don't produce. Also I need to start my medication too.

WIC in California gives Enfamil so that's what we gave first he's also had Good Start and Similac and takes all formulas well. I guess I'm just a lucky mom.

I hate the whole breastfeeding vs. Formula argument. If you are takin care of your baby, doing your best, and baby has a full tummy you are an amazing mom and dont let anyone tell you otherwise! Now I breastfed for 14 months but he first week until my milk came in my daughter wouldnt eat. She did well with similac for fussiness and gas. I am not sure what bottles I used but i used glass ones.

My wic gives Similac in tx so that's what I used with my 2 oldest with my youngest he was in the nicu for breathing issues so he used enfamil gentle ease that's what they recommended

You wouldnt be a bad mom even if u could breastfeed and decided not to..I'm going to be using Gerber bc of my wic,my mom says its what she used with me and my sister So and worked great for both of us, all my bottles are avent even flow, and I have been stocking up on the nursery water

Here in Fl the wic gives you gerber it worked well with my son at first i used bby water after he was like 4mnths i bought a filter and used that water instead

I used good start because its the kind I got with WIC and I used nursery water I can't think of the name of the bottles I used

I tried emfamil but my sons stomach couldn't handle it . he wouldn't poop and had tummy aches. So we used similac. I used even flo bottle . my second son was able to use emfamil but he had it when he was older . and I used filtered water.
