Why can't I stay pregnant?

I had a miscarriage in 2003 from an unplanned pregnancy.  In 2008, I had a healthy son.  In July 2009, I had a miscarriage at 7 weeks after seeing a heartbeat.  In October 2009, I believe I had a chemical pregnancy because I got faint lines on HPTs (multiple) but my period started a few days late.  

My question is:  What reason could there be for me to not be able to stay pregnant even though I've already had a baby previously?  Do fertility problems start after you've already been able to have a successful pregnancy.  I'm 31 years old, so I don't think age is the problem.  

I'm beginning to think I'll never be able to get pregnant and have a baby again.  I'm looking for some hope.  Thanks in advance.

MY ADVICE.. Try again... my doctor told me that they think that up to 60% of pregnancies end before women even know they are pregnant (chemical pregancies) so this is very typical and it probably happens to many many people you know and they have never noticed it..
So my advice is to keep trying.. youll probably get pregnant soon with a healthy baby.
I too have had 2 chemical pregnancies (positive pregnancy tests, testing two days earlier), and then a pregnancy that lasted 13 weeks..  the baby probably had chromosomal problems.. and that is why it died, but i checked and neither myself or my husband have any chrosmosomal issues.. i am 31 too.. and have everything working perfectly.. i guess its just bad luck..
So keep trying .. its going to have to stick sooner or later. Good luck!

Many miscarriages happen for no known reason while some occur due to certain medical conditions.  Have you seen your doctor to rule out any medical problems?  That would  be the place to start.
