I bled for exactly 2 weeks with my first 2 kids, and started my normal period 4 weeks after that.

I used always overnight pads while it was heavy because they're pretty long and very thick and have wings, they were amazing.

This might sound petty...but the pads they give after birth are so large but they work good ...so my extra ones i cut down enough to fit in my pants as normal pads

Its really not as bad as it seems hahaha^ :) its just a super heavy period but so worth it once you get to hold ur baby.

Depends on your flow after birth. The day after I was released from the hospital,  I was using my normal kotex liners.

Any pad that is Extra long, heavy flow, with wings is what youll need. Always is my brand of choice. It may sound funny but I use depends the first few days after giving biryh because sometimes the flow can be so heavy, even the pads wont hold. I dont like ruining my undies either.
