true or false labor?

I'm 37 weeks pregnant with my first child..
I've been having cramping since last night at around 9pm & they've been getting slightly worse..
Can this be labor or is it just more Braxton Hicks.. I don't know what to think at this point..

I hope so! I've been going through Braxton Hicks for a couple weeks now, but it just feels different this time.. Just tiny little things are having me feel like something could be going on. (:
Thanks you guys!

well that def sounds like early labour, but bear in mind that early labour can stop and start as well until you get into established labour, this can happen a few times until your due as well, if it does dont worry because these little contractions  will still be helping your cervix dialate, or these could continue into established labour, either way, just make sure you keep active and hydrated and rest when you need to :)

I've actually been up since 10am , walking around & cleaning my house to see if they'd go away.. I tried a warm shower, but they're still here.. They're coming about every half hour to 45 minutes right now.. It feels like period cramping, only that now my sides & lower back are in pain as well..

You could also try jumping into a warm bath or shower for abit and if they're still comming afterwards then its most likely early labour, so you should try and keep active, do the vaccuming or go for a physical walk etc to encourage them to keep comming :)

You should see if they're timeable, coming at certain intervals, if they're progressing in painfulness. It may be the beginning stages of labor, but if it were active labor you'd definitely be in a lot of pain from the contractions right now since it started last night. It may turn into active labor, it may go away, but I wouldn't go in to the hospital until you're about 5mins between contractions or they're getting uncomfortable to where you can't talk through them. Good luck!
