Hi everyone. I'm 11wks&1d and I was wondering; when's the earliest the doctor would be able to tell me the sex of my baby? I hope soon: we already have a girl and really want a boy now. Fingers crossed.

I found out my son was a boy at 13 weeks 2 days and that my daughter was girl at 16 weeks I'm only 12 weeks 2 days now and I'm hoping to find out soon :)

I had an ultrasound at 14 weeks where they where pretty sure it was a boy. Went back at 18 weeks and it was a girl.

Yes i agree 18-20 weeks is the best time.and normally thats when your doc will set up the ultrasound. I was lucky enough to get an ultrasound at 12 weeks and the ultrasound tech GUESSED boy and then at normal 18-20 week ultrasound confirmed boy so its sometimes possible that early but if u want a more accurate opinion i say its best to wait unil 18-20 weeks.

My first pregnancy I was told at 18 weeks we were having a girl. (my doc said he can count the number of times he was wrong.) At 22 weeks the ultra sound tech said a boy. I made the doc check every month after that lol. It's best to take the 20 week ultra sound. I have known a couple people to have that happen before 20 weeks.

I will be finding out about 19 weeks think the closer to 20 weeks the more clear the sex is o will be getting a private gender scan cos they don't tell you where I live x

I found out at 16 weeks and questioned it. 18-20 weeks is really the best time to find out. When I went back at 21 weeks she was still a girl :)

They can really only guess at that stage, the baby's small and the sex organs have developed but they look pretty similar at 13 weeks so even if they tell you, it's only a guess. Most OBs prefer to wait until around 18-20 weeks so they can be more sure. My scan will be at 17 weeks 4 days...next week (so excited!). :)

it depends they say you can see it at 13 weeks but doctors usually dont or wont tell if your lucky enough to get an ultrasound around then
