Is it still accurate

This is my second pregnancy test. The first one said negative. The second however I didnt put a lot of urine on it. It took a while for the result to show up and when it did it said negative. Is this test still accurate since i didnt have enough urine on it and it took so long to show up?

thank you for your comment but the question was does weed effect pregnancy test results dont get it mistaken i am not trying to be pregnant and i dont do drugs like you are trying to imply so to brandj im sorry about your situation may GOD bless you and your family but judging other because you are upset is not right. I only wanted to ask if weed effects the test results THATS IT.

I know how you feel I lost the first one and then this one I was bleeding from weeks 5-10 like a period... I have freaking PUPPP which is the worst thing ever... it just makes me annoyed that people can get pregnant and go on to have healthy pregnancies where there are people who really REALLY want it and they have so much trouble. Ugh... it bugs.

yeah....it just kills me there are these people who smoke weed and do drugs and bad things and say the word sex and are pregnant and then people like myself, who has NEVER smoked a single thing, never even tried a ciggerate (cant even spell it right) and in the 6 1/2 years ive been with my husband (married 3 1/2) we have been pregnant 3 times and lost the first 2 babies...and im currently on bedrest with the baby at 8 weeks! so...i just get very frustrated when i see these kinds of things...

No weed doesn't affect it since like the last poster said it detects a hormone in your urine.

The pregnancy hormone HCG is what is detected in the tests and if you have diluted urine or don't wait long enough in between going to the bathroom, there may not be enough HCG in the urine for the test to work properly.  If it took a while for the result to show up, you are probably right...you didn't have enough urine on it or you didn't have it in the urine for a long enough time.  Try retesting again but make sure it has been at least 2 hours since you last went to the bathroom and decrease your fluid intake during these 2 hours.  (This is the instructions for the ovulation prediction kits anyway)

You'll want to retest with more urine. Make sure its early morning urine or urine that you have been holding for a while so that its stronger since it sounds like you didn't hold it long enough.
