spotting

I am 25 weeks pregnant.  Monday morning I began spotting.  I called my dr. and they told me to go to the hospital.  After 8 hours of fetal monitoring, ultrasounds, etc.  they let me go home.  I had a follow up appt. with my ob. on Wednesday.  The spotting had ceased and all tests came back fine.  Heartbeat, ultrasounds, placenta, and cervix were all fine.  My ob. did a vaginal exam and said there was no sign of blood and told me to switch to light duty at work.  I went back to work on Friday.  I work as a manager of a restaurant and spend 6-8 hours a day on my feet.  My dr. said that standing and walking should not cause bleeding, and to be sure not to do any lifting or bending.  I was very careful to follow dr.'s orders at work.  Nevertheless, Saturday morning I was spotting again.  I called my ob again, and she told me that if it gets heavier to call back.  It did not get heavier.  Both times minor cramping has been associated with the spotting.  As of this evening, I have not seen any more spotting.  I have had a very easy pregnancy otherwise, but am worried at this point.  Does anyone have any ideas, or similar stories?  I am trying not to get all stressed out about it, but it is hard to just wonder what is causing the spotting without getting a little worked up.  Any advise would be helpful.  Thanks :)

my dr. also suggested drinking more water so I have been making a conscious effort to do so. We'll see :)  Thanks for the insight.

Hmm.... if your doctor isn't too concerned I wouldn't be either. Have you been drinking lots of water?

No, actually my boyfriend and I broke up early in the pregnancy.  We have recently reconciled, but are taking things VERY slowly.  So, there really hasn't been any action at all since the very beginning.

Did you have sex before the spotting?
