Try taking a hot bath, then pj's and snack and relaxing, watching a movie or something, try not to think about them at all, if they don't go away, I can't imagine that being BH, my BH always went away with a hot bath or shower, and relaxing, good luck hun!!

Agree with pp. Head to the hospital when you are 5 min apart. The 5-1-1 rule, 5 min apart, last 1 min each and for over 1 hour.
I was talking to the on call doctor right outside the hospital as a FYI I'm 5min and going in. She told me I don't sound like I was in too much pain especially as a first timer. Said this could be a false alarm. Well I check in anyway and have my baby that afternoon. So ya, doctor can misjudge the situtration too. Go with your instinct. Good luck :)

I was 39w5d pregnant with my daughter when I went into labor, felt like strongish BH contractions, NO pain at all. They were every 5-7 min. Went to the hosp after they didn't go away and I was 4 cm dilated. I went home by choice (dr gave me the option to walk the hospital or go home, and with a 2 year old at 130am I went home to let him and my husband sleep) next morning I went back in at 730ish and was 6-7 cm and was admitted. Definitely do not wait if you even have the tiniest feeling that you may be in labor, and like Evie1029 said, worst case scenario they send you home.

Agree with evie 1029. Last thing you want to do is hold off til its to late and then have your baby on the side of the freeway. Doctor shouldn't judge by the pain. Many women have child baring bodies that experience little pain...

I'd take what the doc says with a grain of salt.  If u feel that it's getting to the point that u should go to the hospital, just go, even if your contractions aren't 5 min apart.   The worst that could happen is they tell u to go home, but at least you'll have been checked and know how far dilated u are.

Most doctors want to wait till they are consistently 5 min apart...i would wait and keep timing them...congrats!

well the Dr (not my regular doctor, someone random on call) said if theyre mild not to worry about it... which seems odd bc i've heard every women is different. & theyve been consistently getting closer together & stronger since 11pm last night..

Could be...if they are coming like that I would def call your Dr because some women dialate easier and faster without really knowing what their bodies are doing...good luck love and keep us posted :))
