i TOTALLY agree with everything babydreams just wrote!! i too have suffered from chronic headaches and migraines for years. i know that there is really nothing besides tylenol that you can take, i know exactly how you feel. it makes it really hard to enjoy the pregnancy for sure. I would try to avoid any irritating smells like perfume. i noticed that sometimes triggered a heachache or made on worse if i already had one. best of luck to you... if i think of anything more to help alleviate the pain, i'll be sure to let you know!!!
Thank you, I will try it all.
I totally sympathize with you. I've had awful headaches for my whole pregnancy too (I am 22 weeks)... and Tylenol only barely takes the edge off. I've suffered from migraines since I was 10 years old and tried my fair share of remedies! For me, a hot compress helps alleviate some pain (I have this aromatherapy "pillow" that you can microwave for body aches and headaches; I'd highly reccomend you get one). Other times, a cold compress can help (try a water bottle from the fridge). Also try taking a warm bath in dim lighting, and refrain from watching TV or reading when you have a headache. Stay hydrated and don't eat too much sugar (but do eat some, as a drop in blood sugar can cause headache and dizziness.) Some people say the smell of green apple helps a headache, but I have yet to see that work! Make sure you get plenty of rest; go to bed early, and take naps during the day. I wish you the best of luck - I know how miserable the headaches are! :(
I am desperate, I will try as soon as I get home!! Thanks.
Well when I first got pregnant I had headaches and still sometimes I get one with the really bad ones I put Vicks vapor rub on my forhead, I know it sounds crazy but it helped. I guess it opens up the vessels.
