No offense to any of you ladies, but I completely disagree. From someone who is going thru a difficult first trimester as well, I have done a lot of research, and have read many times about empty gestational sacs until up to 10 weeks, because the uterus was tipped, or the baby was "hiding", or some unknown reason. Like I said before, every woman and pregnancy is different, and until the doctors are concerned, don't be concerned. Granted, do not rule out the possibility of a blighted ovum or undeveloped baby. Just know that while the possibility does exist, you also aren't completely abnormal.
Unfortunately It looks like the baby did not develop ,because if 2 weeks ago they had a sack at 6 weeks by now you should have had at least a fetal pole and heartbeat.
I agree, if you truly are 8 weeks, you would definitely be able to see a tiny embryo with a flickering heartbeat. They asked you to come back in two weeks probably b/c there is a chance that you are not as far along yet. Wishing you good news then :)
Maybe you are just off on your dates and not as far along as you think. That happens quite abit. If you were 8 weeks pregnant they would definitely be able to see baby by now. I had an u/s at 6 weeks and saw mine. Good luck to you. Fingers crossed xxx
Not neccessarily. Every woman and pregnancy is different. Your dates may also be off (not that you don't know your dates, but ovulation and/or implantation may have occured later than you thought). If you have no severe pain or bleeding, do not stress about it. If you are concerened, request a beta quant, and if they are continuing to rise as normal, then everything should be fine. I'm supposedly 7 weeks, but my levels are rising normally for 5 weeks, and my g-sac just showed up with nothing in it. Also, my uterus is tipped which may or may not have an effect on the way things are seen, including the HB. As of now, I wouldn't worry, and if they scheduled you out another 2 weeks, they don't seem to be too concerned either. My doctors have me in every other day!!
Oftentimes in early pregnancy, it is difficult/impossible for an ultrasound tech to find a heartbeat, your baby is so tiny at this early stage in pregnancy. I wouldn't lose hope AT ALL. It isn't uncommon to not see a heartbeat that early. Best of luck and try not to stress. Keep us posted as to the results of your next u/s! =) SSBD.
It doesnt always mean miscarrige. It is veryy hard to find a heartbeat... I am no expert at this stuff.
Did you doctor explain anythng to youu??
