some times this is normal sometime women have there periods while being pregnant.. but the brownish discharge is just old blood leaven your body and perparing for the pregnacy to come in the next nine months. but the dark red i am not to sure it may just be your body perparing also but i am sure your doc. will let you know when your have your ultrasound.. the dark red is it more like blood or brownish red.. like old blood it could be just that some woman have there period the frist month and it is just the body preparing for the journy of birth.. i am sure everything is fine if the doc had thought something was wrong he would have given you a unltrasound then and there.. i am sure.. rest if a key importance to being pregnant. more so if this is your frist pregnacy i told 3 years of child birth and prepratoin for parenting and childhood classes i am almost a midwife i know alot but not everything and if you dont feel comfortable you may always go to the er and they will do a ultrasound if you tell them what is going on that is pretty much all they can do they are not OBGYN'S so they can just look and make sure everything is okay and find the heart beat which i am sure will put you at ease well i hope this helps you let me know .. i dont like given advice if i am wrong so let me know so if i am i can stop telling people that may be what it is but my co-worker had the same thing and this is what her problem was she was just dischargen old blood.. well congrat's on being a mommie. it is the great feeling in the world. i just wish i could have another but i am broken for the time being.. but i soon will get everything fixed and be able to feel the greatest thing in the world to hold a new born that is yours.. but let me know.. i hope all is well just have faith and everything will turn out for the best..
Its normal in some pregnancies especially when you are stressed out or over worked. You just need to rest and relax so little baby wont be harmed!
Sometimes bleeding in early pregnancy is normal as long as your not cramping but definitly take docs advice and rest as much as possible. That is the best thing you can do right now for you and your baby. Good Luck.
