I was talking with a lady at the WIC office, she's 4wks pregnant with her 5th child, ages 12-6yrs. & her hubby wanted her to get an abortion because they couldnt afford another and on top of that both thier 12yr & 6yr old got thier periods this year. Wow. Anyway,  lol , I started to think about when I got my first period (15 yrs old) & I pray my daughters don't get it that early.  What about you guys?

I'm surprised to hear all you ladies got it fairly early! I feel abnormal now lol. I was 13 and wasn't close with my Mom at all so I didn't even tell her. :/ I will make sure that I have a different relationship with my daughter if I gave a girl.

I was 12 and literally it happened on Valentines day after the guy that I liked told me he didnt want to be with me and picked some nasty chick. At my elementary school they showed us "the video" in 5th grade. It talked about it and the nurse came in as well and talked to us.

I was 11 in 5th grade. I scared crying because I thought I was going to die. My sister got hers when she was 8. We were never over weight. More on the skinny side if anything

I got mine at 12 or 13, and I h ad the talk with my ten year old last year because her friends at school were already talking about it  so I wanted her to hear it from me better than what ever her friends had to say

I had mine a few weeks after my 13th birthday. It was like 10 p.m I was peeing and my sister was combing her hair and I told my little sister go get mama and my mama came running in the bathroom happy and laughing. lol Idk why she was so happy.
