38w2d and brownish discharge???

I was wondering what you ladies think it means to be this late in pregnancy and have brownish discharge?? I am getting excited and anxious and wish that my baby was ready to come out!!  LOL  Thanks for any input!

Thank you for your responses.........I did have a vaginal exam that really hurt on Thursday so I was hoping that was getting things started.  You all have been great on here--its hard to believe I started posting here way back in October when I first thought I was preggo:)  Crazy!!!!!!  Good luck everyone!

sounds like a bloody show to me...maybe junior is getting himself/herself ready for the big day! Good luck!

have you had a vaginal exam in the last 48 hrs? could be from that...otherwise it could be "bloody show" which may or may not mean that labor is coming soon.

I don't know, but maybe it means that you are going to lose your mucus plug?!  Hope this is a good sign and that your baby will be out soon!
