What Does Implantation Bleeding Look Like?

Ok, so I'm in TWW land waiting to test on the 20th, the day I'm suppose to receive AF. Today I went to the bathroom and notice a very small amount of like a rusty color stain in my panties (I know... I know TMI). Could this be implantation bleeding/spotting? How did that look for your if you're had that in a previous pregnancy? We're not trying, but we're not preventing (so I guess you can say we're trying). According to my calendar today would be the day for implantation spotting. I just don't want to get my hopes up and turns out next week that I'm not at all pregnant.

Mine was like that, mixed with cervical mucus. I hope it this means I'm actually preggo! Thank you all for your thoughts and for posting.

It can vary from light brown to a light pink. But it's usually not even enough to have to put a pad on, it's just enough for you to be able to see it when you wipe.

I believe I had it and it was on the toilet paper a couple times after wiping. It was mixed in with my cervical mucous and it was like red speckles. That was it. I wore a liner but had nothing else.

IF you have implantation bleeding, it will be very light and a very very small amount. Usually it is red in colour or brown, and doesn't require the use of feminine products. In general implantation bleeding only occurs in 30% of pregnancies, so overall many do not get it. I myself didn't have it in either of my pregnancies. Many women think they do and it turns out to not be it, or there's another cause for it. Your best bet would be to still wait till the 20th to take a test with first morning urine. If it was IB, the hCG should rise more than high enough to give you an accurate result then. Good luck!
