Lol yeah my family doctor got like that as he got older. Maybe try asking how his day was or something. Some men just don't know how to show their feelings though lol.
This is my first pregnancy to.
I'm scared to death cause I am also a wimp when it comes to pain. I want to try natural though..but ill probably end up changing my mind.
Thanks I really trust him though because my family doctor is like a dad to me and he referred him and told me that If he was pregnant he'd go to him so I trust his choice I don't want to switch I just wish he'd be more friendly, lol a smile wouldn't hurt.
You can always switch doctors no matter how far along you are in pregnancy. So if you go a few more times and he still acts that way, switch! There is absolutely nothing wrong with it. Every pregnant woman deserves a doctor that is friendly and caring!
Thanks everyone. Lol I hate shots but then again, I take them better than a lot of people that I know. I hope I start to like my doc more. I only been once and he was too serious and not friendly. He will be delivering my baby so I hope I get comfortable with him.
I've had.Medicaid with all three pregnancies (I'm due in less then four weeks) they'll cover nearly ANYTHING your Dr orders. No worries Hun, tell your Dr what you'd like and if they see fit they'll do it.
I went completely natural with my son tje only pain I endured was the contractions but then again I love pain.good luck just breathe
Like someone else above me said... Don't always believe what men have to say!! LOL. They like to pretend they know what's going on. But the epidural is amazing!!!
Very true. And I was in labor 10 hours with no pain meds, got an epidoral within mins couldn't feel any pain and had him within 10 min.
Medicade covers it, my friends daughter had 2 kids and epidural with both. She also got a pain shot both times before the epidural! If your dr says you need it medicade covers it. Good luck.
Your boyfriend has been through labor, so knows what's covered in delivery off the top of his head? Don't believe everything a guy tells you, they like to act like they know what they're talking about, but sometimes it's B.S. Ask Medicaid, or your doctor, what your options are for pain management and if you can have an epidural. I had an epidural for a severe back injury, and that thing was miraculous...was ready to kiss that doctor. Haven't heard anybody say that Medicaid doesn't cover it.
Well I am going to be honest...it hurts BUT its doable!! Lol my first baby I had an epidural and it got me to all the way to time to push, pain free. They shut the epidural off and I pushed 3 hours without it, my second and third had with no epidural. If you know you have a low pain tolerance the epidural is the way to go. But if you can't get one don't panic, you are a lot stronger than you think..just try to concentrate on that beautiful little baby you get at the end and you will be able to do it. Good luck :)
I told my bf I want 3 pain shots and he said Medicaid only gives one free one and that scared me even more lol
Think about it this way... Millions of women have given birth over the centuries. Hundreds give birth everyday!!! It's amazing what our bodies are able to do, especially when they are pushed to that limit. Labor hurts, there's no lying about it. But there is pain management!! Don't be afraid to ask for pain meds. :)
