Implantation?

OK im a little confused... on the day my period was supposed to start i had a little brown discharge that just required a liner for 2 days, that was on the 17th and 18th Dec, then on the 21st i had a tiny bit of red spotting and today, the 22nd i wiped and i had one tiny little red clot. i am now 5 days past my period and had no kind of flow, only some discharge with no blood other than the couple of instances above.
ive had a lot of cramping but not too painful and have been having a few symptoms but my hpts keep saying negative... could i still be having implantation? what do you ladies think?

there is a chance that you are pregnant, especially if you are having a late period. It is not uncommon for women to get light spotting or discharge in place of their period when they are pregnant. It is not necessarily implantation but just bleeding or discharge. Clots, heavy cramping can be associated with a period or a miscarriage. There is a chance you are pregnant but there is also a chance that your period might show up and is just late, especially if you got a negative test. You are just going to have to wait it out and see if  your period shows up or if the light spots are all you get. I would recommend re-testing in a few days-week if  you have not gotten a period.

No it can't be implantation bleeding, if you get implantation bleeding which is very rare to get, you get it a couple week before the start of your period. What you are describing sounds like a period to me, just because it isn't a heavy flow doesn't mean it isn't a period. Also you can retest in a week or two if you are still thinking at that time that you are pregnant.
