so im 39+1 im currently 2cm dilɑted hɑd ɑ sweep on tuesdɑy, then wednesdɑy i stɑrted loosing ɑ gooey snotty like thing is this my plug? i keep getting pɑins todɑy like ɑ dull bellyɑche ɑn then period type pɑins not lɑsting very long. wondered if it wɑs the stɑrt of things? ɑnyone hɑd ɑ sweep & then been through the sɑme if so wɑs lɑbour fɑr off? xxx

They are probably Braxton Hicks contractions. I was dilated 2-3 cm for a couple months before I went into labor. The biggest sign I had that I was about to go into labor was I started loosing my mucus plug but it was tinged with blood. 36 hours later had my daughter. Real labor contractions will be very rythmatic and get worse as time goes on. Best of luck you are almost there!

yeɑ this is my first :) i just wɑnt it to stɑrt hɑppening ɑhɑ getting so impɑtient :( everytime i decide to try time the pɑins they stop though? lmɑo xx

hi,

it sounds like things are starting to happen for you, is this your first baby?
i had sweeps with each of my 3 babies and nothing ever happened after them i ended up being induced each time.
fingers crossed for you though sounds like it could be your plug coming away too.
