Interesting article about doctors and vaccinations

I know we always have posters who are curious about vaccinations, schedules, delayed vaccinations and not doing them altogether.  I ran across this and thought it was interesting, and something that is probably going to become more widespread, therefore, parents should be aware that it is happening. I personally vaccinate all of my kids on the schedule recommended by the APA.

I choose to delay because I care for my children immune system to build up. I am not concerned about statistics or the thoughts of others pushing the issue.Doctors and scientists are not always correct. I am not concerned about what others feel is right,  I will stick to what I feel is best for my children. I have had a nephew have a life threatening situation with being vaccnated. Vaccination cause harm and it helps, but I refuse to inject these vaccinations into my children until they build their immunity up. If all doctors unite and refuse to serve my children, that is their choice.

I encourage you to do some more research on vaccinations and look at the statistical trends of these preventable diseases. I would even encourage you to talk to doctors at your local hospital and see what they have to say. No one is purposely endangering the general population by not vaccinating, but they are doing so even if they do not mean to. Any time a child or adult is not vaccinated they put themselves at risk and the people around them at risk. It would be unrealistic to ask parents or others if they or their children are vaccinated every time they go near someone. Children under a certain age are at a very high risk of contracting many preventable diseases since they are not old enough to be vaccinated yet. The elderly are also at an increased risk, along with any individual with health issues or other problems that prevent them from being able to be vaccinated. Your choices never just affect you and you alone, they affect everyone around you and whomever you come into contact with. I am glad to see doctors take a stand and push for vaccines. I know many schools near me and other organizations are also beginning to take a stand and push for vaccines. I've seen so many cases of Whooping Cough lately, that is boggles my mind. This is a preventable disease that was almost completely eradicated, but has now come back in this recent outbreak because people refuse to vaccinate themselves and their children. Watch a video on what it was like only a few decades ago when Polio was common. Do we want to go back to that kind of a lifestyle? Or should we protect the general population, especially children and the elderly, with simple vaccinations?

I delayed my two boys shots and could care less of how anyone feels about it. Who are you to say it is wrong or right? Are the people who say it is wrong God, I think not. I am not attempting to kill or endanger any child. If you do not like it, then remove your child away from mines. As parents we choose to do what is right by our children from our exerience or knowledge. A lot of human beings are so judgemental that they do not even care or notice it. Stop attempting to force something on an individual that they feel is not right. Not all doctors are going to do this. I doubt all doctors would want to care less of a child. If they all decide to, which they will not, would be inhumane. Is it to the point were we are attempting to say which side is better than th other? Just please care for your children and be the best parent you can be for your own. You cannot raise the world's children, give it a rest.

The CDC and other agencies are tracking these diseases. None of these diseases would happen if parents would just vaccinate their children, which is why so many doctors, agencies, schools, etc are pushing very hard to make vaccinations mandatory! As the trend for not vaccinating increases, the number of people who contract these diseases increases as well. California has a larger population than other states in which parents/people are not vaccinating, and we are seeing the results of those choices. Other states, which are more "old fashion" and strong on their stance to vaccinate, see less outbreaks since vaccinations are being done and the people are protected. It breaks my heart to see those patients with preventable diseases. I wanted to yell at the mother of the 3 month old with Whooping Cough as she continues to refuse to vaccinate her other 2 children. I can only imagine that they most likely now have it as well. So sad.

I'm not sure if places are targeted, but I do know in my own state (I live in Ohio) things such as whooping cough and such at the highest they've been at in the last 25 years.
