Pregnancy and panic disorder

I have been on xanax and klonopin during my first pregnancy. I m/c at 7 1/2 weeks. 9 months later I was pregnant again but only on klonopin, I m/c at 5 weeks. Doctors think that I m/c once I get off the pills. I am currently taking .5-1mg klonopin a day, and my doc just put me on prozac to try and reduce the klonopin. I am terribly nervous, I really really really want to have children, but at this point, I'm not sure if I will be able to EVER carry full term and have a normal pregnancy. If anyone has any advice, comments, anything...please let me know. I really want a baby but I don't want to keep going through m/c's. Someone, please help!

I have tried running, yoga, music, basketball, pottery, playing piano, guitar, everything it seems like. But after so long, I get withdrawal sypmtoms and then it goes straight to a full attack. I get approximatly 10-30 panic attacks a day, mostly at night. Any other suggestions?

Is it ever going to be possible to have a baby with a horrible disease like this. My doctor even told me that I will most likely be on meds the rest of my life...i love my doc to death, but that is something I really wish I didn't hear today! UGH! I just want to complete our family. I always wanted like 4 kids, but at least one would be nice! Ya know???

Thank you so much for your comment. I hope all goes well with you and I hope you have a little one...or two or three :) I know that the m/c's were because of the withdrawals and i just feel so helpless. I am really trying to get off the meds but I become a completely different person if I stop taking them. I get so dizzy that I fall over, I can barely see, I can't drive, I am so shaking and feel like I can barely breath. I am currently working with my doc now, but he said the best would be 2-3 years before I can start trying. It just really sucks, you know? But my prayers are with you and hopefully we will both have little ones. :)

Ok, I will try this one only because I am in the same situation.  Xanax I have not been on, but Klonopin I have been taking .5 mg 4x a day. I am 38 yrs old.  I had mc in may,  august, and october.  Klonopin has nothing to do with mc, I read into this alot.  However, it may cause birth defects in the first trimester.  I have terrible anxiety, and doc told me to stop taking the klonopin each time I found out I was pg.  The withdrawls were soooo bad, my doc thinks that may have caused the mc's.  My advice, is to get off the meds before getting pg.  This unfortunately is very hard for me because I have been taking Klonopin for 10 years.  Talk to an OB doc and doc that put you on the meds so they can best help you to get off.  Good luck to you.  By the way, i'm still tryin :)
