First Prenatal Visit Today!! Nervous!
I'm nervous!!!! I have never had a prenatal appointment this early in pregnancy, so I really don't know what to expect. With my other children I always started Prenatal care around 18-24 weeks, mainly because of what I went through with my daughter in 2002. But the DF insists that I go early for this baby.
I'm nervous, nervous, nervous. I am going to refuse the pap smear because I know I do not have any STD's and i'm just going to tell them I have recently been tested, and had a pap. On top of that..I have horrid deadly gas LOL and I would feel very embarrassed if I let one go during a pelvic exam.
The DF can't go with me today because we have the children, and it would be difficult to tote around 3 kids to a prenatal appointment, so if I get an ultrasound....he is going to miss it. But I will bring him home some pictures of his little bean. I'm pretty sure I will end up getting an ultrasound because of my cyst, which i'm curious about, whether it's still there or gone or shrinking by now. OMG i'm skeerded LOL!
Okay...i'm done ranting now. Going to go hop in the shower and get ready. Thankfully the office is located at the hospital which is walking distance, however I don't plan on walking lol!

Appointment went well. Couldn't get out of the pelvic exam lol, got to hear the baby's heart rate which is a strong 163! Doc says everything looks to be perfect. My due date is still the same Dec 24th. I will be having an ultrasound around 20 weeks. Got my blood drawn, BB's felt up lol and that was it. A lot of questions, nothing really about my medical history, they asked about the other pregnancies and deliveries.
My next appointment is scheduled for July 15th at 1:30pm.

awww...hope your appt went well....usually the first appt is boring...they ask a bunch of questions and such....but every practice is different

Typically an early appt will consist of possibly an ultrasound for dating, blood work, pap smear, if you are at a new doc they will take some history, of course, weight, blood pressure, urine sample. You should get your "official" due date. Good luck. I hope they give you an ultrasound so you can see your little bean :)
