still waiting

I posted about a week ago i have been waiting to see if i am pregnant i missed my period by over 2 and a half weeks now and took a test last sunday that came out negative but i did not take it in the morning i keep telling myself to wait but its hard i have been so impatient about it. i had been worried at first but now i really kind of want to be i have been with my boyfriend since highschool and we are now both 23 with steady jobs and have been talking about getting married and we have a house of our own. i just dont know if i am or not i have been on birthcontrol last month but had also been on steroids because of a really bad reaction to poison ivy, i have also been having a sharp pain in my left ovary area that has been happening ever just before i missed my period. anyone have any advice?

Since you're already late a test should show accurately. There's no need to wait at this point. However, based on what you have said I would assume no you're not. Your cycle is likely messed up from the birth control and steroids that you were on. See a doctor for a blood test to determine pregnancy or not, and then you can go from there.

i am really in need of advice here i am driving myself crazy over all of this...
