Is there an oder when your water breaks?

OK well as many of you know since I just keep posting lol I have been experiencing contractions and lightening, well just now I went to the bathroom and my underwear were a little wet. I'd had a few scares the past couple of weeks but it just turned out to be urine, well I had JUST changed clothes cause I showered AND didn't need to go potty really I was just feeling that it was kinda damp. So I put a pad on to see what happens. Well I've never had my water break so I am curious, does it have a color or an oder?

The contractions never.got close together and I haven't had a single one this morning and I don't think it was my water after all

When my water broke it was kind of a cloudy white.  The nurse said it can be that way because the vernix coating on the baby can mix with the fluid a bit.

If you do leak more, keep the pad, they can swab test it to see if it's amniotic fluid.

Yeah they said I wasn't. I'm gonna wait to see if I soak through this before I make my poor husband drag us all up there lol. I called earlier and my nurse said that basically unless my water does break or if my contractions get closer I'd just be wasting.my time because they were too far apart for them to stop them this time, not by her choice she said but because L&D will just basically write me off

i would go get checked did they check u last night to see if u were dilated?

Yeah if its broke then its just leaking I think I've.lost pieces of.my mucus plug but I've never had that happen either so I'm  not positive.

I am pregnant with our 4th. My 1st my water broke into the toliet. It was clear except for a few mucous green clumps, which turned out to be meconium (baby poop). I have had c-sections then and since. When they break the waters they look for clear fluid.

This is my third baby and I've never had.my water break before. With all the signs of labor I'm already having this past week.or so it wouldn't surprise me.
