TMI! Ugh!

So,   I just spent the last half hour in the bathroom trying to poop! Ugh! It all wouldn't come out. And i seriously think I just tasted what child birth will be like...  It was horrible and now I'm almost in tears and just frustrated. Didn't help that my brother was yelling at me to hurry the whole time! Anyway, my mom told me to take a saposeatory (sp?) and next time just use one of those and try not to push to hard because of the baby. Ugh! Any thoughts? Can I take those while pregnant? :-(

I'm going through the same thing exactly! Mine was so bad I threw up and I have another child so I have gone  through labor before and you are right, this is much worse... I just cried and begged my husband to help me... Then I almost passed out... I'd you are taking prenatal vitamins with iron in them stop taking them and talk to your doctor about getting some with minimal iron. I know vitamins are important but when you get extremely constipated like that, it can literally poison you.  My doctor told me to get dulcolax suppositories to make myself go right away and then drink Miramax or milk of magnesia every day. My last episode was yesterday and that's when I was throwing up so I did what doctor told me and I have the runs but its much better than that pain I have been going through. And some people may not believe it but this pain I was experiencing was MUCH worse than my labor and I had back labor. I think I would prefer being shot in the foot... Honestly... I can't express how painful this is.

My parental pills aren't enough iron apparently for me lol. My doc gave me extra iron pills but I never really take them because I'm suppose to take them at night on an empty stomach and that never helps. I'm not usually constipated ever! I think it was because this morning I really had to go but my dad picked me up early and I didn't get a chance  too. I actually just finished eating homemade donairs and everything came out and now I have the poops! Phew! I feel better though! Thanks for your help everyone!

I'm having the opposite problem! The only thing that helped was to eat greasy food, which is horrible with morning sickness, but it worked! You may want to switch to a gummy prenatal vitamin, because regular prenatal vitamins contain iron which can make you extremely constipated.

Yes u just can't take laxatives and its recommended to use the liquid opposed to the gel/ wax type as well as stool softener pills

Inwasnon pain medicine for a mounts or two in the beginning of my pregnancy due to migraines and had horrible constipation from it. I used stool softener pills, and when I was at the store buying to liquid suppository I walked around so much that I had no choice but to go because the walking physically pushed it down. But I did use the liquid a couple of days later because I had the same problem again. Prune juice never worked for me more apple pear or pineapple. (They say use juices that start with p, apple and white grape.) learned that when my daughter was a baby.)  goodluck

I'd try prune juice first. Suppositories are okay, but should be a last resort after natural methods have been exhausted. Good luck and I hope you can drop a good one soon! Lol
