Lack of Communication?

So every time I have a regular OB appointment, I am never told about what they'll be doing at my next appointment. As in, at my last appointment and they decided to do my glucose test with no prior warning. Not a big deal, however, I'd like to know about it because I had been drinking apple juice ALL MORNING and on the way to the appointment.
Before this they decided to refer me to a specialist and "couldn't tell me why". Only to find out that it's nothing terribly serious, just that my baby has a single artery umbilical cord. Like, people. I would like to be kept in the loop with my own business!

That's no good, but at least you know your daughter is alright. At this point, I'd take a resident over my current doctor.

Momtothesecondpower, mine tells me everything looks really good, so I was confused as to why they were sending me to a specialist. And then no one could give me an answer as to why. It made me so mad.
