Left side

This is my second pregnancy but first child.  I recently heard that you should sleep on your left side because the right side cuts off the baby's oxygen.  Is this true?

I'd love to know how sleeping on a particular side can lessen morning sickness. I could sleep on my head and still have morning sickness!

You could lay any way your comfortable but they sayy left is better because it helps blood flow and Your placenta gives better nutrition that your baby needs

The only thing involving sleeping that I've heard is watch sleeping on your back come the second trimester. Check with your ob, they can tell you what they think is best.

Sleeping on your left side helps blood flow, which helps with more oxygen and nutrients getting to the baby.

I always have slept on my left side even before pregnancy but I found it difficult to believe that the right side cuts off the baby's oxygen... but they said a doctor told them this... but thanks for your response

No. Sleeping on your right is fine.  That's the only way I can. They say sleeping on your back is what cuts off some oxygen supply. .. honestly,  as long as you're comfortable,  it doesn't matter how you sleep. There are plenty of women who sleep on their back. My doc said it's dfine
