so confusing lol but thank you guys
oh alright, i just didnt know if i conceived in june or july lol im guessing july
Also you can't go by your lmp that's just to estimate you have to go by when you conceived and no one knows exactly when they conceived sperm can live a few days inside you and fetal aging can be slower or quicker from person to person like my baby had measurements at 14 weeks some were 14 like femur, humerus, but body and head measurements were 15+ weeks so is really nothing to worry about
i wrote july 6th i had sex on july 5th and june 29th im just curious (:
oh (: so i did conceive on july 6th or something like that?
We pretty much go by the gestational age for the whole pregnancy.
Your baby could have been only 5 Weeks for the fetal age, but we do go by gestational age for the due date.
im still confused im sorry. so when i was 7 weeks on aug 11th they told me that was the gestational age so what does that mean?
Well your baby can show after 8 Weeks. Which is why your first appointment seems a month or so, so far away from when you found out. There's a few books you can read to help you understand what stages in your pregnancy you are.going through. A great book to read is what you're expecting when you're expecting. This will help one understand, and also is a great way to spend some time since there is around 40 plus Weeks of a ride till baby shows.
There is a gestational age N then there is a fetal age. The gestational is where your baby is still an egg waiting to implant. The fetal age is how old the baby might just be, which could be more accurate from an ultra sound but the baby wont show until about ten Weeks. Doctors always go by your last menstrual period, this is just an estimate since there Is not a way to tell exactly when your baby implanted and started developing. This is also why people could have their babies two Weeks early,or two Weeks late. The fetal age starts about two Weeks after the gestational age. Gestational age starts from your last known period.
