Ok so first off, congrats to all the mamas out there! Now secondly, let me keep it real with you my peers here. I'm 40+4 with my first baby, a boy, he's estimated at around 8lbs, Ive been 2 cenimeters for 2weeks and have tried all the mythical remedies in the book, and while that was fun getting my hopes up, I've had it! It's so exciting counting down the weeks and days but after you reach a certain point you accept that this baby is going to come when they wanna come or, you go get induced!! Which is my plan B for tomorrow :) I wanted to let him come when he's ready, etc. but I've had inconsistent contractions for a few days, he hasn't dropped, and I haven't lost my mucus plug, pieces yes but the rest, no. So tomorrow we've decided to ask to be induced, giving us a few days to let the hospital give us a call when they have a bed for us and get this show on the road!! My dr is awesome and I'm thankful for that, hopefully you Mommas in the same situation have the same. He'd gladly respect my request and support us. So I'm ready. Moral of my post is don't fully get your hopes up with "today could be the day" kind of attitude, although it is %110 percent true, the anxiety that and disappointment is just so awful. Especially with people asking what your status is all the time and seeing posts of everyone else and their granny's having their baby before us lol. And another thing is, never listen to the horrible labor stories, I mean don't let those freak you out. I hate hearing peoples experiences lol!! They're all really really the worst situations that could ever happen for some reason!! Lol!! So don't let labor get to you, be excited to experience it for yourselves. We're women who are destined to do this!!! Women have done it for thousands of years!! Don't be afraid. Be so excited to meet our babies and be ready!! Good luck everyone!! I have this app on my phone but can't comment/post anything so I've been wanting to catch up with you all. I'll be able to read your replies and I'm looking forward to it!
