six weeks along and having very sharp pain burning in lower back .....whats going on .. am i starting to miscarry?

I had back pains, I have a bad back normally which I think played into it, but part of the hormones job is to relax you for pregnancy (why you often feel off balance later on in preg) early on it affects you hips (I waddled very early on from this relaxation of my hips) There is a difference between cramps and back pain. As long as it is back pain and not cramps (I am used to the back pain so I can tell the difference) you should be fine

I dunno hun, I was told that severe back pain in early pregnancy is a sign of the early stages of miscarriages.
Unless you're later on and "Bigger" back pain isn't supposed to be happening to you.
Not at only 6 weeks.

I would DEFF call your doctor because I was told to watch out for that before I hit me second trimester.

I'll keep you in my prayers and I hope it's just a back ache that has nothing to do with your pregnancy!!

could the pain also be from the U/S?

well i went last friday and they only saw the sac and the yolk.. the nurse midwife in the practice told me to go to a U/S today and plan on leaving Friday for a D & C.. That was on Monday..its been the worst week ever..i went into the U/S preparing for the worst and then I saw the little flicker on the monitor (well my husband did) I was to busy crying ( i was so happy and so made at the nurse midwife for putting me through a week of hell)

are you sure.. its making me very nervous...its kinda of right above my butt.. i might sounds annoying with all my post but this is my first pregnancy  and I don't want to lose this baby ..especially since i saw the heartbeat

No, I have my 1st U/C on May 1st.....I'll feel so much better after that (I hope).....I had my initial appt. last Tues. in which they really didn't do anything.......Have you had an U/S yet?

From what I understand back pain is normal....I'm 6 weeks today as well and have been having some back pain along with cramping...I'm hoping that's just normal.......I had a missed M/C and D&C in Dec. so I'm nervous about every little twinge that I feel, but I think it's normal as long as there's no bleeding or major cramping.......
