When I had a m/c I was about 5 weeks. Never got a D&C done because the doctor's ****** up saying my baby had naturally passed already so I didn't need a D&C. Few days later I was using the bathroom, and sure enough my baby came out.  I did bleed with that m/c for about 21 days. One of my co-workers had a m/c without knowing. She was about 5 weeks passed her LMP, urine test came out negative, blood test came out positive. When she started bleeding she thought maybe it was all a mistake and it was her period, but when she kept bleeding past 14 days, she went back to the doctor blood test results showed she was pregnant, doctor's told her she had a missed m/c.

i went for an ultrasound at 11 weeks and they found a sac with no heartbeat...they said i had miscarried around 3 or 4 weeks....so i pretty much carried around a nonliving fetus for a good 7 weeks with out bleeding...i finally started bleeding after the ultrasound and had to have a d&c done

Dilation and curretage. They dilate the cervix and scrape everything out.

WHAT IS A D&C

Eventually yes. A woman can find out she's lost the baby and not bleed for up to 2 weeks or so. Then her body will either naturally bleed everything out, or she'll have to have a D&C.
