my nurse gave me the 3 rule. 3 hrs room temp. 3 days in fridge & 3 months in freezer
Go to marchofdimes.com they have all kinds of info
Never warm any milk in the micro wave they heat unevenly and some spots can get to hot and burn their mouths
Its 2 hours but I wouldnt even let it sit for an hour and never give them a bottle that set for 2 hours breast milk build bacteria really easy and it could be bad for the baby
With breast milk make sure u never warm it in a microwave it kills all the antibodies and things that are good for the baby use a bottle warmer or boil water and set the bottle I'm for a few minutes it will stay good 2-4hrs at room temp. Also never use water on the belly is not suppose to get wet I used alcohol swabs and cleaned around the bottom of it with all my babies and they were fine
And you can bath your baby right away just make sure to dry the belly button good after and use the q-tip after. I am pregnant with my third and both the first ones their buttons were healed before a week...
I was told by drs and nurses not to use alcohol just run a q-tip around edges and keep it clean
Nooooooo, DON'T place water on her Belly Button. Use a Q-tip dipped in alcohol. It helps Dry it out, so it will heal and fall off within a week or so. Don't physically put her in water until after the umbilical cord completely falls off.
As far as Breast milk, never feed her twice from the same Bottle. Milk is only good up to 2 hours at room temperature. 48 hours in the refrigerator and 6 months in the Freezer. If you are going to Freeze your Breast milk, thaw it in the refrigerator completely before you heat it, or it will look clumpy and unappealing.
4 hours: room temp
5-7 days: refrigerator
^if she is asking it's because they didn't tell her . And I'm sorry hun I do not have the answer to that, at our house my mom always puts a band on the belly though.
About the breastmilk no ... And about her belly yes just to clean it with water but Ive her its best with alcohol?
They didn't tell you that info at the hospital?
