Yes they are easy to take I would recommend the vanilla ones. I have ketosis which is a lack of carbohydrates. Other than that I am healthy. I do eat alot tho but the baby ***** it all. My doctor said the baby is like a sponge right now. If you don't eat enough it will start affecting your teeth and bones. My nutritionist said that when you get hungry you have a gap of 20 mins to eat before you lose that want to eat. Also try eating more small meals. Cereal helps me I also add a banana to mine lol. If you drink milk try adding chocolate milk. Eggs try adding baccon, ham cheese but make sure it's fully cooked.
Ensure definately helps. I lost 35 lbs with my son. I was 185 when i got pregnant. And i lost so much weight they prescibed me ensure. Ive been so anal about this time around im driving my finacee crazy because im weighing myself every week if not every 3 days. My son came out only 6 lbs 2.4 oz but he weighed enough to be taken home
Well, I don't have that problem but if you are extremely desperate, you could eat a burger at a fast food joint. it's not healthy but it does get you 600+ calories in one take and might make it easier to meet your goal.
Thanks for sharing your experience. I am trying to incorporate peanutbutter as much as I can. Are the ensures easy to drink? Has your doctor done any extra tests because of your lack of gaining?
Yes, I am 22 weeks 4 days have lost only 4 pounds. I was very sick the first 3 months. I haven't gained a single pound. The doctors are worried because I don't look pregnant whatsoever. The baby is growing gracefully. For me I have to go to a nutritionist every 3 weeks, gynecology every 2 weeks and for weight check every week or so. What I do is eat Nutella with crackers or a protein bar. My doctor told me to eat anything I could at this point. Overall peanutbutter, Nutella, oatmeal, milk are your buddies. You can also buy ensure. They have so many calories. I usually take one then go to sleep.
