Membrane strip?

My due date is this Friday and my doc knows I do not want to be induced. As of today I'm 3cm dilated. I had been planning on asking my doctor about membrane stripping if I passed my due date before setting a induction date. However, I hadn't brought it up and today when he did my cervix check it felt like he did something different it was like he stuck his fingers in deeper than he has been to check me and moved them around up past my cervix, also it was longer than the cervix checks he's been doing on me. So I'm wondering did he strip my membrane without my consent? I'm not mad about it but I kinda do wish he had asked. It wasn't painful but it was more uncomfortable than a regular cervical check and I had what seemed like a lot of spotting afterwards. He also said that I would probably have her within the next day or so. If it helps get her out faster then I'm all for it... Still wish he would have asked. I'm just wondering if it was or wasn't! Sorry this was so long!

Sounds like my doc I think she did without asking me too or letting me know I'm due in 2 days and after she did she said baby should be here by his date I was a good 2 cenimeters and thinned she said  . And since I left at 3 I started having cramps and lower back hurts so bad and still going . I was thinking about going in but I don't want them to send me back home :/

Sounds like he did.. I got mine swept at 39 weeks i was 3 ½ cm and i had contractions that night & had my daughter the next day.

I had my membranes stripped today :) I and 39 weeks and 1 day and I am "a good 2cm dilated" and I am extreamlt thinned out. It did hurt a little bit but I havent had any spotting yet, but yes it does sound like he stripped your membrane, and my doctors also told me I would have her in the next day or so :)
