lol i think it depends on the person... but i believe most people will stay they wont compare..
the early cramps you get like at 34+ weeks feel like menstrual cramps but last time i checked you dont generally have a hard time focusing on breathing when you experience menstrual cramps..
the thing with labor contractions is that you get a break in between.. which really helps to get through them.. of course some people are not as lucky and have contractions that last 1 min 30 seconds and come every 2 minutes a part so really there break is 30 seconds.
i just know there was a point where i was in the tub during labor and the hot water triggered my contractions to get stronger and more frequent.. and the heat + that made me want to puke so bad...
They do not compare to cramps if that was the case they'd give me two ibuprofen and I'd do fine during labor. It all depends on your pain tolerance. BH don't compare to them either. The worse part for me was having a contraction and having the monitors on your belly the baby hated it and during a contraction I just wanted to rip it off.
loool thanks ladies , then i am going to hell of the time. i have no pain tolerance , great yeah . i am 25 weeks ,14 to go and getting scared more each day , at this point i want to just keep him inside lol
I had EXCRUCIATING cramps during the first 6 hrs. of every period my entire life. I stayed in my bed or on the couch and cried and wiggled in pain, they were so bad that they caused me to vomit and have diarrhea. No kind of ibuprofen even put a dent in them. I couldn't go anywhere, if I was at work or at school I always had to leave. When I got pregnant I really thought that having such horrible cramps my whole life would give kind of a one up on the pain that was headed my way with labor. Boy was I wrong. lol. I had ALL back labor. So I don't know what a regular contraction in the front feels like. But I can tell you that I was not prepared for the pain. It was nothing like a menstrual cramp and about 15x stronger too. But I hear that back labor is much worse. I'm not trying to scare you, I'm just trying to be honest. I ended up getting an epidural even though I didn't want one bc when a contraction came it paralyzed my legs and I would fall down. -___- lol. It's normal to be scared. But it's all worth it, and once you get in there you don't have the energy or the time to be scared. You just do it. You will be fine. =]
dont stress Hun :) theirs pain relief options available if you need them too remember. :)
i also have no pain tolerance and am now having my 3rd baby. I didnt have any pain relief with my first two and i dont plan on having any with this one. You forget about the pain and its almost instantly gone when your holding your beautiful baby after. Just get well educated on all your options during labour so you can be as comfortable as possible and know what to expect. Sorry i cant help more! good luck with it :) xxx
Lol all these stories are going to scare the crap out of her. The plus side is we are built for pregnancy. I don't care what anyone says I will always get the epidural if I can cause I felt everything with my son. I wanted to die lol but i did it.
