Hawaii is okay. The cost of living is way more expensive and you really get island fever. I made the choice to stay an extra year and I kick myself for doing it lol. Its beautiful but im tired of the island and not being able to drive very far without ending up where you started. Im tired of spending a grand to go home to the mainland on leave as well lol. So expensive
Its so true. The best friends I've ever made are military members and spouses!

Army wife, married my husband a month before he was to go to baisic, we were put at Ft.Bragg and have been here for about 3 years this coming October. So far I like it And I've not made any friends being here, but thats my choice. There has been talk about deployment, but we'll see.

And the fact that my husband is deploying in two months and won't be back until our baby is almost a year old... sad, it would be nice to talk to someone who knows what you're going thru. This will be his first deployment as a husband and dad...
My husband is Air Force and we are stationed at Davis Monthan AFB in Tucsfon, Az. He's been in for 6 years, but we have only been married for a year and I'm due in 2 and 1/2 weeks. I've barely made any friends because most of the wives here in my husband's squadron are in their 30's with a few kids and always act disinterested in talking to a 19 year old. I'm from Amarillo, TX and when we got married my whole life changed. I moved 12 hours away from my family and friends and everything I had ever known, got pregnant right away and wasn't working due to high risk. Plus, making friends can be hard when you're 19, married and pregnant. Most girls my age are in college and partying all the time. It's hard, but so worth it! I would love to meet more military moms/wives!!
