I spoke to my boss and he was fine about it. Dont want to risk hurting myself
I wouldn't. If you slipped you could really hurt yourself and baby for that matter! Im in north east uk and its a foot deep at the moment, dreading the school run soon with my 5 week old god knows if the pram will even get through it!!!
We have a lot of snow too. Luckily I don't have to go to work but still have to do school runs. I was glad that the schools are closed tomorrow as I was worried too! It is bad enough that they won't sack you over it. If you are worried about them being awkward about it then give your midwife or doctor a call and Im sure that they will write you a note. That way you will be covered and even though they shouldn't anyway, they will be less likely to sack you.
Yes snow pretty bad here in wales. I cant imagine they could sack you if they did I would look in go unfair dismissal case hope everything ok
It might be time to talk to your boss! I don't know about the UK but in the US we have the Family and Medical Leave which states you can take up to 12 weeks off without losing your job. Unfortunately that is unpaid leave. I quit my job as a waitress when I was 7 months with my first. I also had to drop a class I was taking because I didn't feel safe driving in the snow.
