I've always been a diabetic but the most helpful thing for me has been going to this program for preggos with diabetes, sweet success. They set me up with a counselor to answer all my questions and pretty much educate me on what can happen to me and my baby girl and a dietician to give me tons of food ideas. Ask ur doctor if there is something similar you can be referred to. I'm in southern California. Google recipes there are actually a lot of good things to eat :) and DO exercise it helps bring ur sugars down so even when you can't help yourself and have a cookie it's not so bad. Best of luck!
I eat whatever I want really. I had g.diabetes with my first and im now a regular type two diabetic. You don't have to eat vegetables if you don't want to. Be careful with potatoes corn and peas very starchy. Fruits aren't too bad either just eat them in moderation. I eat poptart and candy for most of my snack during the day and im healthy and my baby girl is too!
I sit beside a diabetic at work and any time he eats something sweet (not that often), he eats a spoonful of peanut butter. I'd try to get the veggies you can stand. I mix peas with my mashed potatoes to help choke them down. :)
I have no clue but I think I have to go in for a 3 hr test im calling dr back tomorrow I missed the call they said they wouldn't call unless I failed and they called
