Elected C section or induction

Okay so my last pregnancy i had a failed induction followed by a last resort C section...the induction was beyond aweful! ive heard ppl saying that back labor was aweful! well my whole body hurt so bad!(my trunk and my legs anyway... i dont think my arms?lol) and it never EVER let off... it was that bad! i was in rough shape... i remember housekeeping was just in the room and heard her asking (outside at the nursing desk) if anyone had checked on me! so i must have looked as if i was gonna die too, not just feeling it lol
Anyway im not pregnant...yet, that i know anyway ;) but ive had this conversation with people before, they always ask if because i had a C section if i would have an elected one next time... my thought is i would want to wait too give my body a chance to do it on its own first... if i went over due tho i dont know if i could do another induction... so if it was a choice of induction or CS i think id go for the CS....

BUT here are some factors that are making me wonder...

I dont want to have to have forced help...meaning i like my space and last CS i had Clints family telling me what i could and could not do... his sister had a CS before and had a lot of discomfort from it... but i had NO pain once so ever, wouldnt have ever guess i just  had major surgery... and i know what my limits are... im not comletely useless... and this time i have a toddler to look after as well... so imagine how frustrating they will be then

Also my daughter was in a posterior position with her head arched, so the bony part of her head was pushing against my pelvis, so she was stuck and had no chance of going anywhere... (she never did drop) This can be a major cause of the horrible pain i had...  so do i trust that an induction wont be as bad as it was, assuming my next baby will fit into the canal... because everyone i talk to say that comparing an induction to natural delivery the induction was so much more intense...and their babies were not stuck

And here are some other factors... what if i was already dialated... an epideral would come faster... which would be nice:)
my daughters head  circumference was in the 95% she weighed 9 lbs 2 oz... (12 days over due)

there is less chances of getting bumped from a C section than from an induction...

I was induced 12 hours before i started dialating so it was 15+ hours before i was 4cm for an epideral... this was all over night... induction started at 8 pm... after epideral i went another 10.5 hours before they ran out of options...
im sure im missing little things that i factor in when trying to think what i would do if in this position...

So i am aware that every pregnancy is different and i may go into labor on my own with out any complications, but this is just out of curiousity for what you would do...

And im curious on those who had inductions... how did they go?

No, My friend has the same Dr as me and was allowed...

And see thats the other thing... if i just elected for a C section right away i would have complete control (for the most part) like you said, it cuts the stress of "whats gonna happen"
Oh and  another point to make is they dont usually reccomend more than 3... not that i want more than 3 kids but you never know...lol

My friend is having her c section today... so this is why im thinking about it... and the other night at work a co worker asked if i would do it after saying my friend was having an elected one today...

I would check with your dr first. Some drs won't allow to try for a vbac. Where I live they aren't allowe unless it takes you too long to get to the hospital once you've started labor on your own. But they do not condone them here :/ it really ***** because I had wanted to try a natural delivery again but I am kinda relieved that some of the stress of labor and then worrying bout whether or not I'll have a c section is gone. It will be scheduled and over with :)
