I haven't been on much lately...things have been crazy with working full time and having 4 kids to get ready and off to various places...hubby's been working a lot of overtime...usually around 60 sometimes 70 hrs a week. We're in the process of trying to buy a house. WHEW..I'm exhausted!! LOL
Well...little Gabe has become quite a butterball...I'll post pics :) At his two month check up the doc questioned me about the mole on his side. He was born with it but it was small and light brown...at 2 months it had grown 3-4 times the size and was almost black. So doc said it should be seen by a dermatologist.
Dermatologist looked at it and said some spots of the pigment looked unusual and that becuase it had changed so dramatically we should err on the side of caution and remove it. So we did. They numbed him up and cut it out. He had 3 stitches for a couple of weeks. They sent the mole out for testing. Yesterday we got his stitches out and got the results of the tests. It DID come back as irregular..not cancerous just irregular. So, we need to watch the spot it was removed from for any new moles or discolorations etc. If any pop up he needs to be seen right away. He also should get checked by a dermatologist yearly and we are to monitor any other moles, freckles, patches etc on his skin more closely than we normally would.
Other than that my lil trooper is doin great. He talks and smiles to anyone and everything. He's trying so hard to sit up. He rolls from belly to back but not the other way yet. He eats like a horse...5 oz of breastmilk w/cereal (for reflux) every 3 hours or so. He's such a sweet, easy baby. The doc and nurses at the derm. clinic kept talking about how good he was and how well he handled having the mole removed and the stitches.
I'm gonna upload a few pics if anyone wants to see them.
