Inductions are all different.  Contractions yes are more intense and so forth. But time wise when i was induced at 2cm had my son less then an hr later. When they checked me I dialated from a 3 to giving birth within 15 mins didnt even have time for any pain meds.

I don't want to be induced bc I heard the same thing but I'm almost a week late and have been dilated to a 21/2 and I really don't want to be in the hospital on thanksgiving!

They started me on pitocin at 1am i didnt have painful contractions until 12pm. Which is when i got my epidural. Then 7 hours later i had my little girl in my arms. :) 7 hrs of active labor isnt so bad.
