5 weeks and cramping

im 5 weeks pregnant and im having slight cramps and when i wiped today it was a tan like disharge not dark but real real light. could that be from my uterus stretching

And to answer your last question.. uterus stretching causes the slight cramps, but doesn't make you bleed.

As bad as it sounds, sunshinemaddox is completely right..
If your body starts to miscarry before 20 weeks, there's most likely something wrong with baby and the hospitals don't feel the "need" to stop your body. But if the baby makes it past 20 weeks.. most of the organs and stuff are formed .. not ready at all.. but they're there.

You sound okay to me as far as the bleeding.. when I was around 4-5 weeks I had slight cramping and light spotting. I thought I was miscarrying.. I called my doc and went in and everything was fine. I still don't know why I spotted..  but im now 21 weeks and doing good.
If you have even a slight worry, call your doc for reassurance.

As long as cramps don't get bad and you don't bleed heavy enough to almost cover a pad you should be fine. I am about to tell you something that may seem insensitive but this is information that I did not know so I am going to tell you what nobody told me. The hospital will not stop a miscarriage unless you are atleast 20 weeks. I went to the hospital at 7 weeks and was told that with I had bleeding and I had to sit there just like everybody else and was told that information in a harsh way as if my child did not matter. With reading i found out that most born before 23 weeks still don't make it.... I AM NOT TRYING TO SCARE YOU OR BE A *****, PLEASE ,PLEASE,PLEASE DON'T TAKE ME THAT WAY. I am just giving you information that I did not know....please keep me posted.
