Negative Blood Type = RH Shots

I have AB- blood, so I had to get an RH shot today in my butt. ): I was told it is because the blood type will build up antibodies against pregnancy and when I go to have another child my antibodies will fight off pregnancy causing a miscarriage. So I had to get a shot in my butt to prevent it. I will get another one if my son is born RH+. The needle didn't hurt, but the medicine burned really really bad. Anyways, does anyone else have to do this?

It was in my hip/butt. I walked funny for five minutes after because it hurt so bad.

They give it in your hip, and it burns like hell! I got mine a few weeks ago. It was worse than the anthrax vaccination.
