possible Vanishing Twin? Help!!

yesterday we had our first ultrasound done. there is a sac and baby measuring about 7 weeks. but I don't know what the small thing next to it is.. it looks like a much smaller sac and it looks like a baby in there. but the doc didn't say anything about there being more than one baby... im starting to worry a lot more than ever.. im 6w3d currently. I posted the link to my u/s pic. please help. im scared and worried. im going to call doc tmrw but im feeling so impatient now. mom in law pointed it out to me. btw its a Uterine Preg. not ectopic.

ok. but if something was wrong would they have given us that pic? or a diff one? bc I saw pics on google of other u/s similar to mine and ended up being twins. ik it deffinitly does run in mine and in my fiancés familys.

Pretty sure that's a yolk sac.  The doctor typically calls a few days later just to go over the ultrasound with you.  Mine did even at 18 w to tell me that my baby looked healthy and he measures a little big

well it worried me bc the tech wouldn't talk much during the u/s and I wasn't able to see the screen well bc of how it was positioned. she did find only one heart beat that was 111bpm on a external u/s but 115bpm (same baby) on an internal u/s. she didn't say much at all. but at the end before we left she said the doc would contact me in a day or two... and that pic was from the internal u/s. she couldn't get much of a view with the external.
im deffinitly going to call in morning. im soooo anxious now!! bc now to think of it I do want twins. im just so terrified of giving birth.....

Yea if it was 2 there would of been 2 yolk sacs and 2 fetus. I had a vanishing twin, and there were 2 of each in my first ultrasound. They only found 1 heartbeat, and by the next appointment 2 weeks later the 2nd one was gone.

I had the same thing on my first ultrasound, the tech said it was a yolk sac like the above comments. As you get further along it will disappear, im pretty sure if it was another baby the tech would have told you, but you can always ask to male sure

Most likely the yolk sac you're still really early so it hasn't went away yet

They believe my sister in law had a vanishing twin. They talked about it and she started bleeding around 13 weeks and what they thought was the other twin disappeared.

Ya its a yolk sac....if they didnt mention twins its not...

I can't remember what my ultrasound tech said that was. It's not another baby though I don't think, I had it too. Id call your dr and ask about it just to be sure!
