It's actually pretty uncommon to have a baby on the exact projected due date, since it's just an estimate. If you do go over, don't worry, the docs will know when it is time to induce if at all. And just remember the longer baby is in there, the healthier he or she will be, and they'll come out when their ready to meet the world. Good luck!! You're almost there mama!! I was 42 weeks with my first when I went into labor btw.

Had mine 8 days late and she's so much more mature and is a really good baby! Also perfectly healthy

That's not always true, I went 4 days late with my first son and he was too stressed to come out and had miconium in my water (bowel movement) which could have caused him to choke and not survive. So, its better to listed to your body, if you feel that your ready or your baby is in your head then tell them. Because you kbow your body best and its a mommy instinct. The longer of carrying your child can be bad, or good. You just have to know if something is wrong.
(Thankfully my doctors listened to me and got him out asap through a c section & he survived thank god!)

Oh dear, cjsmommy, I've never heard of that happening. Thank goodness everything turned out okay for you!!.. I agree to trust your instincts if you think something is wrong, but typically it's just a natural waiting game. And things can definitely change over night.

Just out of curiosity, how did you know something was wrong Cjsmommy? Was it just a feeling you got or were you in a lot of pain?

This my second baby got induced with my 1st at 39 weeks because of genstional diebates. And my inductions date is that Monday if I don't have him Saturday I don't wanna be induced tho it was horrible.

I forgot to mention they had to take my daughter by c-section... not because she was late but because after 12 hours of labor my cervix wouldnt drop.. she also had a bowel movement inside me but the doctors were never concerned with it. He/she will come when they are ready

I'm due this coming Thursday and worried I'm gonna past! I'm gonna ask to be induced at 40 weeks plus 4. I don't feel comfortable going beyond that
