contracting :)

Well I posted in here the other day about cervical stabbing pains, well I went to my routine midwife appointment this morning and broke down to her, id not slept all night as I was experiencing pains in my cervix, stomach and lower back. She sent me right to maternity assessment unit to be checked out, midwives there felt my bump, baby isn't engaged, checked my cervix still closed. Was just about to discharge me when I told the midwife I was having one of them horrible pains. She put her hand on my bump and said ah yes Braxton hicks.. I'll go get the monitor just to check baby. Whilst on the machine she discovers I was actually contracting.

I'm only 36+5. So fed up, been like this for 4 days now and not progressing but because I'm still under 37 week's they won't do a sweep to kickstart things for me. Needless to say I'm home now, just had a bath which helped whilst I was ib there but am in agony again now.

Anyone been similar or have any advice for me? Anything at all ladies.. Fat, round and downright fed up! X

Thank you :) agreed the last few weeks are far worse than the first few! Lol. Aww wow yes your body seems to have progressed then stopped in its tracks, I hope that you've progressed a little more today, do let me know :). Soo frustrating knowing your so close to the end yet it feels so far away xx

lol welcome to the end of ur pregnacy its ur body simply getting ready for the real thing unfourtnatley i have a few mre weeks of the horrible pain... im 39+4 4cm dilated contractions just wont regulate they r very irregular they say 1st trimester is the worse but i disagree i thnk its the last cause... well good luck and congrats on being in ur last trimester ive found that ice water and laying on my back helps alot but im so active i just walk it off i promise i wont go bk to the er till my water breaks even me being 4cm dilated and contractions id rather be at home then l&d four 5hrs just to be sent home i have my doc appt tom and hopefully im at a 5 thats whn he induces labor but w my luck im stl only 4 i been ths way since 36weeks hopefully ur body doesnt get stuck like mine=(
