Bleeding at 7 weeks?

I'm 7 weeks today and am bleeding moderately. I started dark brown spotting yesterday but it's brighter now and heavier. Not heavy enough for a pad but enough to wear a panty liner. I went in to the doctor yesterday and they took an ultrasound and could see the baby still. But I'm still bleeding today and freaking out. I had an ultrasound 7 days ago and the baby was completely fine they could see a strong heartbeat. This is my first pregnancy and I don't know really know what to expect. I have no pain at all just the bleeding. Has anyone else experienced this?

Did the doc tell you to stay off your feet and stay hydrated?  Walking around will make the uterus contract.  Some bleeding just happens, and sometimes it is a bad sign, but one thing you can do just so you can tell yourself you did everything possible is go on bed rest until it stops.  Only get up to eat and to go to the loo, if possible.  Again, keep hydrated, the uterus can get contractions if you are dehydrated, and also don't be walking around a lot.  Good luck, I hope it's nothing.

I delivered the fetus a couple hours after I posted this. Little thing had eyes forming and little hands and feet. At the hospital now. Thank you for your advice though.
I'm so very sorry this happened to you,  Josie.  What a truly horrible thing to go through.

If you're going to try again at some point,  you will want to ask questions why this pregnancy failed.  Early pregnancies fail often when the baby never got a good start and never went beyond the several cells stage.  This baby was beyond that stage where it really isn't a concern because the pregnancy didn't get started.

My heart aches for you.  I hope you get the answers you deserve.
