Any BC form can cause side effects. Migraines/headaches, Nausea, spotting, cramping.... etc. it's all normal. Try and wait it out because the last thing you want right now is switching BC methods and getting preggo in between... (since you wanna be on BCP's/methods)
I loved the nuvaring. give it a month or two because remember your body is gonna be screwed up for months and months after the babe, plus being a new mom can cause the fatigue as well. I did expereince severe headaches with several birth controls so i know how horrible it is, my pharmcist was the onw who orginally picked up it was the bc causing my problems. DO NOT try the patch...it literely made me CRAZY. you get so many more hormones with that. But that is why the nuva ring is good, less hormones
Thanks!
Anyone else? I am **bumping**
What about the extreme fatigue. and now headaches.. I am getting headaches.. Ugh.. This is why I have a hard time with b/c and usually just end up using condoms... I have a mild latex allergy so I thought I would try something else since I was using protection when Jaxson was conceived, but I cant deal with all these crazy side effects.. I am going to call my Dr. tomorrow, in the meantime, I am going to try and stick out the nuva ring for this month, it may just be my body adjusting??
Laura~ It's normal. I was on Nuvaring for 3 months AFTER Getting off the depo. I had been on Depo 3 yrs and gained 50 lbs!
I gain weight on ANY kind of hormonal BC no matter what level of hormones are in it. I put on 15 lbs with Nuvaring.
You will have some breakthru bleeding or even bleeding on wierd days for about 3 months until your body gets used to nuvaring. Don't worry about it. Just make sure that you check placement 3x a day (with your finger) OR before BD'ing just in case it comes out.
I never had it come out but I"ve known ppl who did constantly due to how their pelvis was shaped.....
