saline, you can actually use the adult and spray it right up the nose! there is no differnence in the adult then the baby and you do not have to srop it in the nose, the spray loosens it up.
Vicks I don't know a that age but it works best if put on the feet and put socks on!! For ANYONE that is.
Also you should get some "Cold Ease" from precious arrows midwifery, it is safe to use on babies and children and is all natural!!! It will help alot and is safe! Aso they ave a pack of stuff you might want to get, it has colic ease and different things, I got the one for kids which has calm a tummy and it is the same as colic ease but has ginger in it. It has a Kick It Immune that is great to give to any age if they will be around lot sof people or have been around people that arae sick! It works too! My kids have not been sick for at least 6 years since I have used this stuff! My little guy who is 6 months has never been sick ever!
Hope she feels better. The cool mist humidifier is better then the warm vapor as it does not cause mold as easy, and if kept on low in babies room will help her alot, or where she is msot of the time and putting her on an incline will keep the fluid buld up out of the eustation tubes and sinuses!
They have vicks vapor patches that you put on your shirt.(like a sticker) Cut one in half and put it on the babies shirt. You can use Little nose saline nose drops.(my oldest son got a cold 2 weeks after birth and the pedi recommended this for his nose because he was so stuffy) Also run a cool mist humidifier. Good luck.
It sounds funny, but put some baby vicks on a sock and turn it inside out (so it doesn't get on everything) and lay it near her when she's asleep. It might help..
we use the pediacare vapor plug ins..they help ALOT...our DD, 5 months old, has RSV right now..we honestly thought it was a cold too, no wheezing that we could hear, just runny nose and cough....there is also a vapor bath for infants that you could get...just wash her chest and back with it...that should help break and loosen it up...good luck
